Springtime is bursting with new life and fresh blossoms outside here at Free Love Valley Soaps, including the blooming floating algae mats on our pond.

Yikes!

Yep, an annual, unsightly springtime occurrence in most natural ponds. I just spent the good first part of the day clearing heavy algae mats from the pond surface, as they were beginning to consume the entire pond. After being elbow-deep in filamentous pond weed, and pond critters such as tad poles and fish, I was really looking forward to jumping into a hot shower with a bar of our 100% pure Eucalyptus essential oil soap with embedded Poppy Seeds that gently exfoliate. I washed that dirty chore right down the drain! Ahhhh… felt wonderful.

Plus, the aroma of the Eucalyptus essential oil helped awaken my senses in order to tackle Part Two of my day…. which included making dinner – a delicious stir fry with fresh ginger root. Inspired by the fresh scent of the ginger root, I got to thinking why not try making a bath soap with Ginger essential oil. The Eucalyptus essential oil is so invigorating in our bath soap, perhaps the Ginger will be as uplifting.

Stay-tuned as I’m anxious to get back into my saponification station and prepare to craft a new batch of soap using the 100% pure Ginger essential oil.
